This was caused by an outage of Virgin Media Services which meant we had no internet signal. Our till systems operate on a cloud based system, and not only did the internet fail, but our 4g back up failed as well.  We are in the process of putting arrangements in place to prevent this from ever happening again. Apologies again for all involved and we hope you don’t hold it against us.    PREMISES UPDATE - CLOSURE OF HORTICULTURE AND EL GUAPO (FORMERLY DON VITO'S) I want to let you all know, that our neighbours, Horticulture and El Guapo have both closed with immediate effect. This means that we are the only business operating from our front door on Pilgrim Street. Can I ask you all to be vigilant when coming and going and not to let people you do not know tailgate you into the club. I’m sure with the development in the area, that the premises will not be vacant for too long, but in the mean time, please help out the staff with the security of our building.   Club Trip to Thirsk Races- Sat 17th May 2025 - SOLD OUT The annual Club trip to Thirsk races is taking place on Sat 17th May 2025 and the coach is booked.Total price for travel and course entry will be approximately £35 - £40 depending on numbers.Spaces are limited, and we have already filled 50% of the bus, so drop me an email mail if you want to reserve your seat for this mint trip. This trip is now sold out.  Thank you for everyone's support   INCREASED MEMBERS PRICE DISCOUNT The Club has increased the discount available to Club members using our Loyalty Card. Club members now get a 15% discount on all purchases when using your Club Loyalty Card.  Loyalty cards are available from behind the bar, upon production of your membership card. But REMEMBER, these cards are non transferable, and cannot be passed amongst your friends and family   THE CLUB IS NOT THE SAME AS THE NPSSC Can I remind everyone that membership of the Sports and Social Club does not afford you membership of the Club. There has recently been an increase in the number of people visiting the police club, mistakenly believing they are members when they are actually members of the NPSSC. Remember that membership at one club does not afford membership of the other. Occasionally, when customers are asked about their membership, we often get shown warrant cards and NPSSC membership cards, this does not make you a member of the Club. THE CLUB IS NOT THE NPSSC Can I remind everyone that membership of the NPSSC does not afford you membership of the Club. We are two separate organisations. Please be aware that if you are asked for proof of membership in the Club, production of a warrant card or NPSSC card is not sufficient. Any questions about this, please do not hesitate to ask me.
